Five Years from Now…

I was creeping through Seth Godins archives this past week and stumbled upon a post that made me think.

It made me think about the future and how fast things are changing every single day. This time last year I was just finding out that I beat a bunch of MBA students for an internship. And three years ago I was an active blogger arguing about Fantasy Football and the most recent moves during the NFL off season.

Oh how things change.

What does the future hold for me – No idea.

What does the future hold for the world – Lets give it a go.

Five Years from Now:

There will be an online Movie/TV channel that users must pay to watch. The videos will be worth every penny… It will be the HBO of the internet.

All transactions and purchases on your phone will be charged to your phone bill.

Laptop batteries will no longer need to be plugged into a jack to charge. They will charge through some wireless mechanism.

Paypal & Ebay will have a true competitor.

Several social media experts will switch their titles to: “Insert new trend here” experts.

Mobile Marketing will be the most effective way to connect with consumers.

China’s gonna run this town tonight.

There will be a significant increase in the number of women in information technology.

Privacy…? What’s privacy…?
