A Marketing Lesson from the Church

Share

I’m driving home after watching the Hockey game the other night. And I pull out my cell phone to text message my cousin to let him know I’d be able to pick him up in the morning for the gym. Ironically, as I pull out my phone I come across a sign in front of a church that reads,

Honk if You Love Jesus, Text if You Want To Meet Him.

Not only did I drop my phone in the matter of seconds ; but I understood what the church was trying to say – I got it. I got it because the message was clear and to the point. It  combined just the right amount of humor yet kept thing serious. We don’t always need 2o words. We don’t always need crazy graphics and design.

Sometimes.

All you need is a punchline.
