Who is Ross Simmonds?
Ross Simmonds graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a double major in Marketing and Human Resources/Industrial Relations. While attending Saint Mary’s he was elected VP of the Marketing Society and was instrumental in the society being named most improved society of the year. Throughout university, Ross won several business awards, ranging from the prestigious Krista Harris Fellowship to the Hamachi Business case scholarship.
Upon graduation, Ross won a 6-week internship with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The CBC was so impressed by his work that he was then hired full-time to implement and execute a digital marketing plan across the Maritimes.
Noticing a shift in the industry, Ross went on to start his own a digital marketing company targeting small and medium sized businesses. A little under two years ago, Ross joined the digital marketing team at the Halifax advertising agency, Colour. While Ross plays full-time as a Digital strategist for many key clients in the Ad world during the day at Colour, he spends his nights fighting crime and working on a variety of different passion projects – Such as a startup called dreamr (set to launch summer 2012) along with this blog and various speaking engagements.
Ross is passionate about digital marketing, the resurgence of cool, young professional development, a wide range of sports and any car made before the 80′s.
Ross doesn’t like writing in third person or talking about himself so this is where this “About page” comes to an end… ciao!
