I talk with small business owners all the time about how they want to cut costs. How important it is for them to change the game and ultimately create a new business model. However, while they dream of all this stuff they are busy spending months and months trying to find the right logo. Hiring more and more designers as they seek out the right designer for the job.
For some it seems to be a cycle. They tell a designer how much they like a logo and then move on to the next one wasting countless dollars trying to impress clients they’ve yet to find with money they’ve yet to make. And all I can ask is – Why?
Take a look at these watermelons,
Square Watermelon
The square shape is designed to make the melons easier to stack and store.
They sell for double the price of regular watermelons!
Take a look at these paint cans,
The square shape is designed to make the paint easier to stack and store.
They sell for double the price of regular paint cans!
Take a look at the new Pepsi can,

- New Design
The new swirl is designed to make the can look cooler and hip.
They sell for the same price of regular cans!
A new logo won’t change the way your business operates. A new logo wont be considered a game-changer. However, thinking outside of the box to create something revolutionary will differentiate you from all competitors. A premium price can only be charged if your brand has the value to support it. If you’re a small business or a new business; chances are you don’t have that support (unless you’re in the luxury industry). Thus, your logo doesn’t really matter today – What matters is whether or not you
When was the last time you bought a product because it had a cool logo?
Thought so…
