Fair enough! Well said on top of that… Sure there are 16000 people who said they didn't like the new changes. There were 18000 people who said they didn't like the changes before… However, the majority of these people are the same people who were complaining the first time around and did nothing about it. Making a group or becoming a fan isn't going to make a difference…Doing what your doing (well if a lot of people join you) is what would make a difference. Until then, we can only wait and watch facebook become more and more twitter-like.

No.
I have a life outside of Facebook. I don't have anything invested in it except time that I have found I can spend doing other things.
I have a quick launch bar on my computer so I don't have to keep returning to the Desktop or the start button to open most used applications. Facebook removed this option with the new layout which mean instead of being able to switch between applications, one has to go to the home page, then open a menu as well to find a bookmark, before being able to go to that application.
Logout has been hidden. I wonder why?
Search is now prominent in the middle at the top of the page... is that something to do with Facebook and MS doing something so Bing becomes the generic search engine? This I'm unsure about.
I don't use Twitter, never have, the bits I'd seen online looked boring and annoying enough but from the comments I've seen about the new Facebook page, it's become Twitter-ish. I think I know who the twits are. Check the Facebook blog and see how many 'likes' there are to the number of people who have posted comments. Sure, some say they like it... some? I should say a rare few, the rest, vast majority (there's over 16000 comments there) have made it known what they think.
Anyway, 'nuff said, I didn't like it so I left it.

I didn't think I would be a fan of it when I saw the screen shot but it definitely won me over. The interface is cleaner like you said and I find its much more user friendly. Although I'm not 100% used to it yet, its nothing a 4 year old couldn't figure out..

I love both – firefox for it's customization and chrome for it's speed. They're both great browsers.

Bravo my friend! I was chuckling all the way through this post. I for one actually like the new layout it's cleaner and more streamlined. Sure, there are nay-sayers, but as you said, they'll get used to it. They just don't know that they love it yet, lol. Great post man, I will be sharing it.

I'm super jealous! I'm still stuck with the old layout. Hopefully they try to pull the wool over my eyes and change it while I watch the superbowl but who knows. I thought the status updates were Facebooks crutch, especially in the newsfeed. I'll be surprised if there isn't a way to feed out everything else. Thanks for the comment Cara!

I like change. Although I'd like to be able to only see people's status updates like with the last layout. I haven't figured out if you can do that yet, but I'm not a real FB junkie, so it doesn't bother me too much.

And a dislike button would be kinda cool, lol.

But change is good... hello, Obama! lol

How long have you been using Chrome? I tried it out but am pretty attached to the Fox. It has been crashing when I have a bunch of crazy tabs open but I assume that would happen with all browsers.

Thanks for the comment Brenton! You hit the nail on the head completely. No matter how much we complain and cry the fact remains that so much is already invested in Facebook that these changes aren't going to make a significant difference. Sure, its going to make it challenging for those who are setting up FB strategies and pages for companies but at the end of the day we still need to get it done.
